S 02-18-1882 Antony Meinhardt digging well near where he will build his new house this spring. S 3/11/1882 - Workmen engaged on Antony Meinhardt's new home on Kane st.
S 03-18-1882 Robert Norris advertises old Sheldon farm, 4 miles from Burlington on Kenosha rd., for sale or rent. Shoemaker Henry Ham (Harm?) was living there when Norris bought it.
S 03-18-1882 William Rhodes building barn on property opposite J. S. Crane's former residence. S 4/1/1882 - Rhodes rebuilding house on property.
F 03-28-1882 E. R. Smith, high school principal, bought the West st. house he has been occupying for some years from Dr. Merrick. S 4/1/1882 - Dr. J. C. Merrick.
F 03-28-1882 C. E. Clench leased and will occupy the large stone house on Chestnut st. owned by Mr. Wegge and occupied for some years past by J. A. Dickerman.
S 04-01-1882 Martin G. Prasch bought Mrs. Sarah Morton house and lot on Lewis st. Also in F 3/28/1882 - house and grounds formerly owned by Mrs. William Morton.
S 04-01-1882 A. Gehrker bought land in sections 7 and 17, town of Burlington, from Leopold Reinhard.
F 04-04-1882 Attorney E. Merton bought from Lorenzo Hess the home Merton has been living in on Lewis st.
F 04-04-1882 John Staker / Stocker bought lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, block 53 (on Madison st. between Dodge & Calumet sts.), from Milton T. Darling. Also in S 4/1/1882.
F 04-04-1882 Frederick Naffien bought all of block 66 in village from Henry Stang (block bounded by State, Dodge, Adams, and Calumet sts.). Also in S 4/1/1882.
F 04-04-1882 Margaret Reid bought 48 and 9/16 acres in northwest quarter of sec. 31 from Catherine Crawford. Also in S 4/1/1882.
F 04-04-1882 Joseph Goeke bought northeast quarter and northwest quarter of northwest quarter of section 7 from Frederick Stohr. Also in S 4/1/1882.
F 04-11-1882 Mrs. George W. Ball (nee Henrietta Wood) doing carpet weaving on Chestnut st. a few blocks above the Fair Grounds in what was formerly known as the David Smith house. F 8/29/1882 - George W. Ball offers carpet loom for sale.
F 04-11-1882 John Russell advertises 3 large rooms in a desirable location.
S 04-15-1882 Mason work started on new residence of Anthony Meinhardt. S 4/29/1882 - work progressing.
S 04-15-1882 Frank A. Schwaller bought house and lot on Geneva st., formerly owned by Michael Wagner, Sr. Also in F 4/18/1882. S 4/29/1882 - making improvements.
S 04-15-1882 George C. Denniston moved family to house on Chestnut st. formerly occupied by Louis Konst. Also in F 4/4/1882.
S 04-15-1882 John Hegeman added bay window to residence he owns that is occupied by John Wurms.
S 04-22-1882 Edwin R. Smith built addition to residence on West st. and put plank walk to door from gate.
F 04-25-1882 J. A. Dickerman rented house on Kendall st. from Mrs. S. Schumacher, who will move to Racine. Also in S 4/29/1882. F 10/3/1882 - Mrs. Schumacher returned to Burlington.
F 04-25-1882 Rev. W. C. Armstrong, new Episcopal rector, to occupy stone house on corner of Chestnut & Mill sts., owned by F. Wegge and vacated by J. A. Dickerman. Also in S 4/29/1882.
S 04-29-1882 C. G. Foltz moved barn to rear of residence. (Barn relocation)
F 05-02-1882 J. N. Benedict built barn on his premises a few rods south of the depot and occupied by H. R. Hall.
S 05-06-1882 William Rhodes's brick residence on Jefferson st. is nearing completion.
F 05-16-1882 Miss Carrie Nelson will do sewing at her residence on Pine st. one door south of the German Lutheran church.
