F 03-18-1884 Mrs. E. Mathews bought house and lot on corner of Lewis & Conkey sts.
F 03-18-1884 Mrs. A. VanSlyke returned to Burlington from Lake Geneva and will again occupy her residence on Washington st., which E. E. Foltz and family have vacated.
S 03-22-1884 F. J. Prasch and family moved from Chestnut st. to Conkey st. last Thursday.
F 03-25-1884 E. C. Benson building new residence on Lewis st.; using portions of bowling alley he bought last fall. F 4/15/1884 - Benson finishing new house.
F 04-01-1884 To rent: property formerly owned by Mr. Wald near old woolen mill on east side of White river.
S 04-05-1884 Joseph A. Wagner moved to residence of Mrs. Friedericke Schmidt on Washington st.
S 04-05-1884 G. C. Rasch & Bro. bought old house on M. P. Petrie's lot on Washington st. and moved it to the rear of their store to be used as a store house.
F 04-08-1884 J. L. Williams and family moved to Royce house on upper Chestnut st.
F 04-08-1884 William Schuth bought Mr. Mich's house and lot on Pine st. (N. Pine) nearly opposite J. A. Dickerman's cooper shop.
F 04-15-1884 Joseph Hoch vs. John and Caroline Wurms - foreclosure of part of block 19, original plat of Burlington, and other parcels.
F 04-22-1884 A. Helfrich bought lot just north of and adjoining his lot on Pine st. (S. Pine).
F 04-22-1884 For sale or rent: Property owned by John F. Wegge on corner of Chestnut & Mill sts. and occupied by Rev. W. C. Armstrong.
S 04-26-1884 M. P. Petrie is building new residence on Washington st. F 3/18/1884 - article and ad selling old house for $100. S 5/10/1884 - foundation almost completed. S 5/17/1884 and S 6/7/1884 - progress. F 5/20/1884 - Frame of M. P. Petrie's house nearly enclosed. S 6/28/1884 - receiving finishing touches. S 7/3/1884 - being plastered. S 8/2/1884 - almost ready for occupancy. S 11/8/1884 - being painted.
F 04-29-1884 H. A. Sheldon recently sold his pink colored grout house on Pine st. to Miss Ellen Appleyard, who now occupies one half and rented the other.
S 05-03-1884 Charles Keuper put up a picket fence between his lot on Pine st. and Henry Stang's residence.
S 05-03-1884 Joseph Pieters bought house next to his on Jefferson st. at sheriff's sale.
S 05-03-1884 Mrs. E. Berger and family occupy homestead south of Burlington.
F 05-06-1884 Mrs. Bertha Sechrist bought 3 lots opposite Mr. Stiles' residence and will build residence.
S 05-10-1884 Rev. W. C. Armstrong and family occupy L. O. Whitman house on Madison st. Also in F 5/6/1884.
F 05-13-1884 G. E. S. Fellows property on Liberty st. for rent.
S 05-17-1884 August German and wife celebrate tin wedding at residence on McHenry rd.
S 05-17-1884 Mr. & Mrs. Adam Beller living on Pine st.
F 06-03-1884 Mrs. John Pennington Mather moved from Exchange House to her home on State st.
S 06-07-1884 George Verhalen building barn on farm east of Burlington. Also in F 6/3/1884, which added that Francis Bankes also raised a new barn; both on Rochester rd. east of Burlington.
F 06-17-1884 Mrs. J. B. Hall home is on Liberty st. between T. W. Durgin and E. N. White.
