S 05-22-1880 Barney Brehm building the foundation for a house near his own residence. S 6/12/1880 - Barney Brehm is building new house on Madison st. S 6/19/1880 - Barney Brehm's new house on Madison st. is nearing completion.
S 07-24-1880 Picket fence added to Capt. Tyler's property, occupied by E. Merton.
S 07-24-1880 Dr. Cooper has a new carriage house.
S 08-07-1880 F. Schemmer has a new stable.
S 08-14-1880 Nims & Voorhees building stable / workshop / woodshed building for O. W. Chandler on Kane st.
S 08-14-1880 Eugene Wehmhoff bought Barns estate as residence for himself and his family.
S 08-14-1880 For sale: residence on Dyer st. between High School (Lincoln School) and Mrs. Spoor's.

S 01-01-1881 P. H. Cunningham and wife in newly remodeled (enlarged) residence just beyond the banks of the Fox river on the east side. House originally built by Edward Zahn for son, Julius, from whom the Cunninghams bought.
S 04-16-1881 Ferdinand Smith owns and occupies house on Washington st. recently vacated by A. Kettelhut. Building barn. S 4/30/1881 - remodeling interior of residence.
F 04-19-1881 Anton Delano obtained lots 1 and 2, block 4 (original plat), from John Davis.
F 04-19-1881 Patrick Connor obtained lots 2, 3, and 4, block 76, from P. H. Cunningham and wife.
S 05-07-1881 Hubert Wagner, Sr., is building an extensive addition to his house on Geneva st. More in S 5/14/1881.
F 05-17-1881 C. G. Foltz put down a new floor in dining room of house - alternating strips of black walnut and maple.
F 05-17-1881 Eugene Wehmhoff improving the premises of his residence on corner of Pine & Washington sts.
F 05-24-1881 Andrew Sawyer's residence is at corner of Washington & Dyer sts.
F 06-07-1881 F. S. Perkins completed a store house in close proximity to his residence in which he will store thousands of interesting Indian and prehistoric relics and other articles for which he has not sufficient room in his well-filled house.
F 07-12-1881 Roof replaced on F. Reuschlein's Geneva st. residence. Also adding a story to addition at rear of main building. Also in S 7/16/1881.
F 07-12-1881 Dr. Darling adding wing to his small house on Chestnut st. above the fair grounds on opposite side of street.
S 07-15-1881 J. J. Foltz bought residence where he has resided for several months.
