S 11-18-1882 John Gill moved to house vacated by Mathew Cunningham on other side of river.
F 11-21-1882 Ferdinand Richter has nearly completed stone house on East st. on east side of Fox river. S 11/18/1882 - Mr. Richter putting up new house.
S 12-09-1882 Joseph Phillipp, baker, moved to Rakow's house on east side of Fox river.
F 12-26-1882 Force pump in kitchen of Meinhardt's new residence fills huge tank in attic and supplies each room with warm or cold water.
F 01-09-1883 Barney Brehm building house on lot opposite his residence on State st. (1876 Directory showed Barney Brehm residence on northeast corner of West & State sts.)
F 01-09-1883 J. B. Buell sold farm in Bloomfield and will probably move to Burlington.
F 02-06-1883 John Billett, formerly of Exchange House, and family moved to Rockford, Ill.
F 03-27-1883 House and lot on corner of West & Jefferson sts. for sale.
F 04-03-1883 M. Bowman, son-in-law of E. B. Fowlston, bought E. N. White farm in town of Lyons.
F 04-10-1883 George and Ed. H. Loomis moved to house vacated by Frank Fintzel. F 5/15/1883 - Fintzel was in house on Madison st. owned by Barney Brehm.
F 04-10-1883 Mrs. C. K. Norton and daughter moved to portion of F. H. Nims house on Pine st.
F 04-10-1883 J. B. Buell bought T. M. Martin house on Lewis st. and moved family in. F 4/24/1883 - Buell building large barn on property. (later 592 Lewis st.)
S 04-14-1883 Meinhardt's new house on Kane st. is fast approaching completion. S 4/28/1883 - Meinhardts moving in.
F 04-17-1883 William J. Rittman rented and moved to von Rosenberg farm at Norton's lake. Also in S 4/14/1883.
F 04-17-1883 J. A. Dickerman rented Mr. Zernake / Zerneke's 2 story brick house on Lewis st. for 3 years.
S 04-28-1883 Anthony Meinhardt family moved to new home on Kane st. F 5/22/1883 - Meinhardts in house.
S 04-28-1883 Michael Cunningham bought 80 acres of Barnes estate situated near his farm east of Brown's lake. Also in F 5/1/1883.
F 05-01-1883 John Falon / Fallon bought 132 acre farm on which he has been living from Barnes estate; about 3 and a half miles east of Burlington.
F 05-01-1883 E. Benson and Daniel Warren bought small tracts. S 5/5/1883 - John Follon / Fallon, 132 acres, and Daniel Warren, 20 acres, from Barnes estate.
F 05-01-1883 Mrs. Everitt bought Theodore Riel house and lot on Pine st.
F 05-01-1883 Theodore Riel lately bought house on corner of Kane & Liberty sts. and will move there as soon as Meinhardts move to new home.
F 05-01-1883 For sale: house and lot on east side of Fox river, 3rd house from bridge on right hand side, occupied for several years past by Dr. Frederick Kords. Also in S 5/5/1883 and subsequent issues.
S 05-05-1883 Phillip Griebel bought Mr. Thering's / Tiering house on Jefferson st.
S 05-05-1883 Fire at S. P. Green residence on north side of mill dam; fire department called out for first time in a couple of years.
F 05-15-1883 Foundation for Barney Brehm's new home about completed. Will be about size and style of his house on Madison st. formerly occupied by Frank Fintzel.

The Museum, History Research Library, and Pioneer Log Cabin are open Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm or by appointment. Please email to arrange an appointment.
