F 02-29-1888 H. P. Lowe selling 22-acre property near St. Paul depot, either whole or in 4 acre tracts. (The 22 acres is all that Lowe has remaining after sales listed under F 3/7/1888.)
S 03-03-1888 E. C. Benson bought 40 acres adjoining Burlington from H. P. Lowe.
S 03-03-1888 John Martin advertises house and 8 lots in Sheldon's Addition for sale.
S 03-03-1888 John R. Schroeder offers for sale his house and lots on the corner of Geneva & Pine sts.
F 03-07-1888 Nims & Voorhees bought 8 lots from H. P. Lowe, making 10 lots they now own in block 9. Lowe also sold lots to John Reynolds and 40 acres to E. C. Benson.
F 03-07-1888 William Fell and wife occupy rooms in the 2nd story of C. B. Wagner's wooden building on the corner of Pine & Washington sts., south of the Western Union Hotel. Also in S 3/3/1888.
F 03-07-1888 Mrs. E. Merton celebrated birthday at home on corner of Jefferson & West sts.
F 03-07-1888 M. C. Dawson and family occupy the new house recently built by Mr. Reiwald / Rewald on the former Fair Grounds (Chestnut st.?).
F 03-07-1888 Adam J. Hannas bought E. C. Benson farm just outside village limits. S 3/10/1888 - reported sale was not made. F 3/14/1888 - deal fell through. (Farm later bought by Mrs. Mary Pratt and Edgar Terhune - see F 1/16/1889.)
S 03-10-1888 Lizzie Prumers / Pruemers has dressmaking rooms at her residence on corner of Johnson & Liberty sts.
S 03-10-1888 Charles Kotsch offers for sale 5 lots and dwelling house on Pine st.
F 03-14-1888 Eugene Hall making extensive improvements on interior of house at corner of Dyer & Geneva sts.
F 03-14-1888 Mrs. D. A. Smith bought Carpenter house and lot on Pine st., nearly opposite F. J. Ayers' new residence.
F 03-14-1888 H. P. Lowe, who bought all the Pliny M. Perkins property a year ago, has disposed of most of it. S 3/10/1888 - H. P. Lowe and family to move to Minneapolis.
F 03-21-1888 James Wilson bought 60-acre farm on Gardner's Prairie from J. O. Montgomery and Arthur Smith. Montgomery and Smith to build a new residence in Lowe's addition.
S 03-24-1888 Annie Cunningham bought 118 acre estate of late Thomas Clarke in northern part of town.
S 03-31-1888 E. C. Benson building 19 foot silo on his farm.
S 03-31-1888 E. Kinsley offers house on corner of Lewis & Conkey sts. for rent.
S 04-14-1888 William Choak moved to Ebbers house on new street (Randolph) east of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
S 04-14-1888 Mrs. Erdmann transforming barn into residence.
S 04-14-1888 Charles Hillman bought of Village President E. Merton his dwelling on Lewis st.
S 04-14-1888 John Wegge rented Charles Hillman's farm a few miles north of Burlington for 1 year.
S 04-14-1888 T. W. Buell building new house on Washington st. near Pine st. for his son F. J. Buell. On exact spot of house T. W. rented when he first came to Burlington. House will be 32 x 38, two story with celler, 11 rooms, semi-Gothic style.
S 04-14-1888 O. W. Chandler added four dormer windows to residence (on corner of Kane st. & Chandler blvd.).
S 04-14-1888 F. H. Nims putting 16 x 18 one story addition on north side of his house on Washington st.
