S 11-13-1886 H. A. Sheldon building picket fence around residence on corner of Geneva & Lewis sts.
S 11-20-1886 Property of late W. V. Moore, with exception of homestead, sold at auction; bid in by Miller W. Moore.
S 11-20-1886 John Mathews, brother of George, bought 100 acres of W. E. Chipman's farm. Chipman to build residence for himself and family on portion of remaining homestead at Brown's Lake.
S 11-27-1886 Auction to be held at residence of James Kelly on Capt. Rooker, or Dahlman, farm.
S 12-04-1886 Jake Steinhoff moved to new residence on farm north of White River.
S 12-31-1886 Real estate belonging to heirs of Pliny M. Perkins - large and valuable tract lying on the borders of the village - offered for sale in whole or in part.
S 01-08-1887 Rothering, Son & Co. building house for John Kottmann - 16 x 26 and 16 feet high with wing 16 x 26 and 12 feet high.
S 01-22-1887 Stratton Bros. bought E. Benson's daughter's farm of 100 acres on Gardner's Prairie.
F 02-15-1887 Mr. & Mrs. Henry Storey married Feb. 13. S 2/16/1912 - came to Burlington to live after marriage.
S 02-26-1887 Chris Strohm rented farm belonging to John Dahlman estate. Strohm owns adjoining farm.
S 03-05-1887 W. E. Chipman to build new residence at Brown's Lake.
S 03-12-1887 Alex Porter moved to residence on Lewis st. he recently bought from E. C. Benson.
S 03-12-1887 James Kelly and family moved to house on Chestnut st. near corner of Conkey st. vacated by Alex Porter.
S 03-19-1887 William Choak moved to Erdmann building on east side of Fox River.
S 03-26-1887 Louis Stetten rented house on Dodge st. from Thomas Cunningham.
S 04-16-1887 Lowe & Richards of Colorado Springs exchanged ranch and stock there for P. Perkins property in Burlington on edge of village. J. H. Low to live in house on corner of Washington & Dyer sts. where Frank Perkins lived.
S 04-23-1887 F. H. Nims laid cornerstone for new dwelling on Washington st. S 8/6/1887 - carpentry done on F. H. Nims house; ready for plaster.
S 04-30-1887 H. Wagner's house is being repaired.
S 04-30-1887 Mr. Zwiebel's house being built on Geneva st.
S 05-14-1887 Jacob Brehm to build dwelling on Liberty st. near Jefferson st.
S 05-14-1887 Joseph Rueter bought lot on Jefferson st. from Jacob Brehm and will build residence.
S 05-28-1887 Mrs. Winnepene / Wimpenny having bay window placed on south side of residence.
S 06-25-1887 For sale: House and 2 lots, owned by Mrs. William McIntosh, at corner of Kendall & Lewis sts.
S 07-16-1887 Ad. J. Hannas rented Biersbach property on east side of Fox River. Biersbach family to move to Chicago.
S 07-30-1887 H. P. Lowe advertises building lots and acre property for sale within village - former P. M. Perkins tract.
