F 02-28-1900 J. C. Hall rented William Rasch property on McHenry st. S 3/17/1900 - moved in.
S 02-26-1898 Mrs. Carpenter leased Voorhees residence near the old high school building (Dyer st.). F 2/23/1898 - Mrs. E. A. Carpenter to move in.
S 02-26-1898 Mrs. Capt. J. Cavano leased Jones residence on Washington st. F 2/23/1898 - Mrs. Cavano rented out her farm in town of Spring Prairie for term of years and will move to place on Washington st. owned by C. A. Jones.
S 02-26-1898 Charles Hubbard and family moved from Burlington back to farm at Vienna.
S 02-26-1898 W. M. Emmons leased Dr. Fulton residence recently occupied by H. E. Sheldon. Also in F 2/23/1898 - Fulton place on corner of Dyer and Washington sts.
S 02-26-1898 E. C. Benson bought lot adjoining Dr. Hicks on Washington st. from C. A. Jones. S 3/12/1898 - Benson building barn on lot.
S 02-26-1898 C. H. Edgerton leased E. C. Benson's Lewis st. residence.
S 02-26-1898 Dick Kelly and family moved from Jones residence to Hegeman residence on Geneva st. vacated by Dr. Thewalt.
F 03-02-1898 Joseph Uhen bought 79 acre Rogers farm, a few miles southeast of Burlington, at auction. S 3/5/1898 - Uhen bought Rogers farm of 78 acres at foreclosure sale for $3,400.
S 03-05-1898 Herman Konst leased James st. residence to W. J. Goff.
S 03-05-1898 Herman Konst and family moved to brick house on Conkey st. opposite the new school house. Also in S 3/26/1898.
S 03-05-1898 Frank Ruggles leased William Meadows farm 3 miles west of Burlington.
S 03-05-1898 Mrs. Lucy Henderson has again taken possession of her Lewis st. residence.
S 03-05-1898 Frank Kresken, who has worked Dyer farm at Dyer's lake for several years, leased and moved to Albert Wicks farm near Wheatland.
S 03-05-1898 M. A. Fee of Burlington manufactures "Burlight" and other brands of soap in Chicago. His family lives in Burlington.
S 03-05-1898 John F. Wegge offers 127 acre farm for rent.
S 03-12-1898 Joseph A. Rueter bought from Jacob Brehm the property on Jefferson street occupied by William Colburn's saloon. Colburn bought B. Ebbers store and residence property on Liberty st. (see S 3/28/1896 entry) and will move it to face on Jefferson st.
S 03-12-1898 Jacob Wellauer farm of 360 acres offered for rent; former Buell farm 3-1/2 miles northwest of Burlington on Vienna road.
S 03-12-1898 A. E. Spencer and family moved to part of Jones residence on Geneva st.
S 03-19-1898 William Wagner sold house and lot on Chestnut st. to Louis Rein. F 3/23/1898 - Wagner to move to South Dakota.
S 03-19-1898 William Wagner took in part payment the lot of the Nagle property that Louis Rein bought from Albert Bushman last fall.
S 03-19-1898 William Meadows to build brick residence on lot he owns in Perkins Park (441 Edward st.). F 5/4/1898 - excavating begun. F 3/16/1898 - William Meadows to build residence on Edward st.
S 03-19-1898 Frances / Frank M. Mayer of Bloomfield has leased and moved to the Mrs. A. Cook farm just west of Burlington for 5 years.
S 03-26-1898 Henry Uhlenhake bought Martin Weinzinger's 60 acre farm.
S 03-26-1898 Martin Weinzinger moved family to Prailes farm just south of St. Paul depot. Son, John, has leased Prailes farm.
