S 04-02-1898 J. S. Giudice moved to B. J. Wentker's residence on Randolph st.
S 04-02-1898 C. H. Edgerton and family moved to Benson residence on Lewis st.
S 04-02-1898 E. C. Benson building residence; also, Benson and wife take up residence with Mrs. L. Ward until their new residence on Washington st. is completed. F 4/6/1898 - Fred Rewald to build new Benson residence.
S 04-02-1898 Jacob Bienemann leased Wellauer farm on Spring Prairie and moved to same. Also in F 4/6/1898 - farm recently vacated by Robert Wilson.

S 04-30-1898 F. W. Leiendecker bought 2 lots on Brown's Lake and 18 acres west of the road from Mrs. W. E. Chipman. Leiendecker to build a summer residence on the lots on the lake. Also in F 5/4/1898.

S 04-30-1898 Farm house of Herman Hildebrand, about 5 miles southeast of Burlington, burned to ground April 27; loss of over $1,000. F 5/4/1898 - Fire at Herman Hildebrand farm destroyed farm house.
S 05-07-1898 E. L. Newbury and family moved to Richter residence in Perkins Park.
S 05-07-1898 Notice of real estate sale for Catherine Burhans - 34/100ths acre on Main Street.
