S 10-15-1898 W. M. Emmons moved to new residence on corner of Lewis & Origen sts.
S 10-15-1898 Mr. Fuller of Wisconsin Condensed Milk Co. to move to house vacated by W. M. Emmons. (Emmons was at Dr. Fulton residence on corner of Washington & Dyer sts.)
S 10-15-1898 Carl Junge, who has lived on Benson farm just west of Burlington, to move to Maryland.
S 10-22-1898 Henry Madigan and family to move to Richter residence on Conkey st. recently vacated by James H. Dailey.
S 10-22-1898 John Trier leased Voorhees house on Dyer st. soon to be vacated by Henry Madigan.
F 10-26-1898 Martin Dietrich and family moved to rooms over Gleason's jewelry store on Pine st. Also in S 10/22/1898.
S 10-29-1898 Mrs. Frank Pihringer, 4 miles east of Burlington, leased out farm and will have auction sale.
S 10-29-1898 R. G. Fraser family moved from Geneva st. residence to Waverly, Iowa.
S 10-29-1898 E. D. Fuller and family to occupy Fraser residence on Geneva st.
S 10-29-1898 P. M. Jacobson and family to move to Dr. Fulton residence on corner of Washington & Dyer sts.
S 11-05-1898 Herman Konst is remodeling and enlarging his large brick residence on corner of Amanda & Conkey sts.
S 11-05-1898 A. Grosstueck and family moved to Wilcox cottage on James st.
S 11-05-1898 H. R. Hall leased Berger homestead just south of Burlington and is moving his family there.

F 11-30-1898 Fire at George Sawyer farm south of Burlington, which is rented by Hogan Olson. S 11/26/1898 - heavy damage.
S 12-03-1898 Addition, 14 x 18, being built to Casper Maag residence near high school building.
S 01-07-1899 Peter Meyers, president of Home Lumber Co., leased Voorhees residence on Dyer st. S 4/15/1899 - moved to residence on Dyer st. vacated by Capt. John T. Rice and family.
S 01-07-1899 J. C. "Chris" Kees property, just west of Burlington, to be sold at sheriff's sale Feb. 3. Ad - Kees homestead on Geneva rd., 15 acres with fine brick house.
S 01-14-1899 Fire on Alfred Jung farm operated by Henry Henningfeld - house saved.
S 01-28-1899 Herman Koehn leased Benson farm just west of Burlington and will move there next month. S 2/18/1899 - Herman Koehn and family moved to Benson farm.
