F 02-27-1889 E. C. Benson and Arthur D. Smith will each build a residence in the Lowe addition.
S 03-02-1889 E. Benson bought 110 acre farm, called old Montgomery place, in towns of Spring Prairie and Burlington from Mrs. Margaret Reid. F 3/6/1889 - E. C. Benson bought 110 acre James Lang farm a mile or 2 west of Burlington.
F 03-06-1889 E. C. Benson bought 78 acre farm of B. Remington in town of Spring Prairie.
S 03-09-1889 Capt. Lewis and family moved to Charles Zilke house opposite the old woolen mill.
S 03-09-1889 William Moats and family moved to Geneva.
S 03-09-1889 Henry Habecost of Norway moved to William Finke farm on Kenosha rd.
S 03-09-1889 Jacob Wellauer farm, also known as the Buell farm, of 320 acres offered for rent.
F 03-13-1889 A. M. Aldrich bought lot on Dyer st. from Mrs. M. Spoor; will build residence.
S 03-23-1889 Valentine Smith bought a lot on Jefferson st. from Mrs. B. Efting, and will build a residence.
S 03-23-1889 Mr. Schwanz moved to house he bought last spring (Schorb property near malt house).
S 03-23-1889 Alonzo Pea moved to Leutke residence.
F 03-27-1889 C. G. Foltz offers 5 lots on Chestnut st. for sale.
F 03-27-1889 Housewarming for Mr. & Mrs. William C. Wilson's new home on Gardner's Prairie.
F 03-27-1889 Allen, Morris, and Perkins arranged for building sidewalks in front of the property they own on the old fair grounds.
F 03-27-1889 E. S. Voorhees bought old house and barn of Charles G. Foltz and moved barn to the Dyer st. lot where Voorhees just built his residence. Voorhees will cut old Foltz house into 2 sections and move to lots where they will be remodeled, repaired, and rented. (House relocation)
F 03-27-1889 Mrs. Gaede bought lot in Lowe's addition from Arthur Smith and will build residence. F 5/1/1889 - House up and nearly enclosed.
F 03-27-1889 Building boom will soon extend to east side of Fox river; 3 building lots, and two small houses on two and six lots, respectively - no owner mentioned.
S 03-30-1889 Dr. Joseph Wilbur moved to old Blake residence opposite the St. Paul depot.
S 03-30-1889 Herman Konst bought from Arthur Smith the lot (on James st.) adjoining the lot on which the test well is located. Also in F 3/27/1889. F 4/24/1889 - Foundation being put in. F 6/19/1889 - nearing completion.
S 03-30-1889 Robert Wilson of Brighton rented Buell farm in Spring Prairie and moved family there.
S 04-06-1889 John Kornhoff bought John Neuman farm 4 miles east of Burlington. Also in F 4/10/1889. S 4/20/1889 - auction to be held at Neumann farm 2-1/2 miles south of Burlington.
S 04-06-1889 Dan Cunningham bought 40 acres belonging to Michael Cunningham estate.
S 04-06-1889 John Itzin and family moved to Cory / Corey residence on Chestnut st.
F 04-10-1889 F. B. Norton offers for sale his 10-room house on Jefferson st. near the Baptist church.
F 04-10-1889 Rooker farm of 42 acres opposite the mill pond for sale. Also in S 4/13/1889 - Lloyd Rooker visited old Rooker homestead north of the river.
