S 03-30-1871 Sidewalks of planks and boards starting to be built for residences since Norton built one on his premises about a year ago ("Locals" page misdated). S 4/6/1871 - additional sidewalks.
S 04-27-1871 Wooden sidewalks built along Geneva st. (northwest side) from A. Zwiebel estate to Lewis st.; on southeast side at Plymouth church and Forbes estate and around corner on Dyer st. side of Forbes estate to Washington st.
S 07-13-1871 Nelson R. Norton house on corner of Pine & Jefferson sts. burned to ground Wed., July 12. Theodore Riel house was in great danger but not damaged.
S 07-20-1871 Nelson R. Norton making preparations to rebuild on corner of Pine & Jefferson sts.

S 03-28-1872 Barney Brehm traded property on Geneva road to Wallace W. French for property on corner of Liberty & West sts. (northeast corner of State & West sts.).
S 05-30-1872 Frederick Stanton Perkins bought house and lot on Conkey st. from Mr. Corey and lot on Origen st. from his cousin Pliny Perkins.
S 05-30-1872 Mr. Willhoft bought portion of John Davis property on White river and has started building a residence.
S 06-02-1872 Palmer Gardners took up residence in Burlington on Monday last.
S 07-05-1872 Adolph Borget / Borgert advertises house and 4 lots for sale. Also in S 4/10/1873 - on Randolph st. in Gardner's Addition.
S 01-02-1873 John McKercher offers to sell 47-1/2 acres opposite Edmund Berger's farm 1-1/4 miles south of Burlington.
S 03-13-1873 Cornice and porch being put on house of Joseph Wackerman, Jr., by Nims & Voorhees.
S 03-20-1873 Jacob Gill bought lot on corner of Chestnut & Mill sts., opposite from Andrew Lawton residence, from Anton Zwiebel and will put up a residence. RA 4/5/1873 - Lot 1, block 3, Perkins addition.
S 03-27-1873 James P. Perkins bought lot 9, block 7, Perkins Addition, from Stephen Feavell and wife.
S 03-27-1873 Theodore Riel bought part of block 27, village of Burlington, from Barney Brehm and wife.
S 04-03-1873 Thomas Cole bought portion of Schutter farm from S. Sherman.
RA 04-05-1873 John Rusch bought lots 1 through 10, block 9, Sheldon's addidtion, from Henry Rittman and wife.
RA 04-05-1873 Zacharias Ketterhagen bought southwest 1/4 of northeast 1/4 of section 34, town 3, from Joseph Ketterhagen.
RA 04-25-1873 Francis Reesman bought east 1/2 of southeast 1/4 of section 22, town 3, from Henry Rotering / Rothering and wife.
RA 04-25-1873 Patrick Calligan / Callaghan bought southwest 1/4 of southeast 1/4 of section 22, town 3, from Mary Fairbanks.
S 05-01-1873 John W. Trowbridge bought lots 2, 3, and 4, block 76, from Racine County. Also in RA 4/25/1873. RA 5/17/1873 - John Davis bought all three lots from Trowbridge.
S 05-01-1873 Eunice C. Chandler bought lots 1, 2, and 4, Johnson's Addition, from H. A. Sheldon and wife. Also in RA 4/25/1873 - H. H. Sheldon.
