S 09-27-1879 John Kenealy / Connelly to move family to Racine where he was transferred by railroad company.
S 10-04-1879 H. L. Devereux has portico built on his residence on Kane st.
S 10-25-1879 Dr. J. H. Cooper and Eugene Hall establish a telephone connection between their residences.
S 11-15-1879 One wall of old stone house near the German Lutheran church tumbled during storm on Saturday. S 11/29/1879 - New front wall being put up in place of the one that caved in at T. W. Durgin's house on Pine st.
S 11-22-1879 Telephone now connects Col. Crane's store with his residence.
S 11-29-1879 Von Rosenberg is building an addition to his residence at Norton's Lake.
S 11-29-1879 C. B. Wagner family moved from east side of Fox river to rooms on Pine st. near his store.
1879 Christian Boub owned 2 residences in Burlington in 1879, one occupied by Mr. Helfrich and the other by Mr. Stroub; Boub also owns 120 acre farm on Kenosha rd., and store building occupied by A. S 03-20-1880 J. F. Wegge offers for rent house on Chestnut st. occupied for several years by C. A. Brownson and family.
S 03-27-1880 L. Hess offers new brick house on Lewis st. for sale or rent.
S 04-17-1880 House of August Garske burned to ground. Garske now living in Mr. Ostermann's house.
S 04-17-1880 Charles Leber sold house on road to depot to Mrs. C. Smith, who moved to Burlington from Kenosha. Leber has built house and stable on Mill st. near his machine works.
S 04-17-1880 John Uhen lathing, plastering, and finishing off his house.
S 05-01-1880 Caspar Eisenbarth / Eisenbart bought 9 building lots on the Depot road from Palmer Gardner.
S 05-01-1880 Mr. Armitage is putting wood side walks in front of his residence and Mrs. Wimpenny's property.
S 05-01-1880 Palmer Gardner is having wells dug at residence and at farm. At farm, water was hit at 16 feet.
S 05-08-1880 William Rittman and family moved back to Mrs. Rittman's (nee Caroline Wackerman) old home.
