S 11-14-1896 Beck farm of 210 acres at Bohner's lake and house and lot near St. Mary's to be sold at partition sale Nov. 28.
S 11-14-1896 Farm residence of Ben David, 5 miles southwest of Burlington, burned to ground last Thursday. S 11/28/1896 - house being built.
S 11-28-1896 John T. Rice and family moved to Jackson residence on Dyer st.
S 11-28-1896 John Uhen and family moved to their new residence on the corner of Geneva & Lewis sts. Also in F 12/2/1896. S 12/5/1896 - architect was C. L. Graham, not A. L. Flegel.
S 11-28-1896 Edward C. Mealy and Jennie I. Mutter, married Nov. 24, to live in Mrs. Kauth residence on Pine st.
F 12-02-1896 John Bence moved to Burlington from Lake Geneva. Also in S 12/5/1896.
S 12-05-1896 Erwin Anderson and wife moved to new residence Mr. Anderson built in Briody's park.
S 12-05-1896 Ed Prendergast / Pendergast leased and moved to Faitoute residence on the corner of Liberty & Dyer sts.
S 12-05-1896 H. J. Vos bought Beck house and lot in Burlington from Beck estate.
S 12-05-1896 Henry Schuerman bought Beck farm of 182 acres at Bohner's lake from Beck estate.
S 12-05-1896 For sale: Chris. Kees property adjoining Burlington on Lyons rd.
S 12-12-1896 Joe Ehlen bought H. I. Hawks farm of 135 acres in town of Lyons for $7,300.
S 12-19-1896 Corner lot in Perkins Park, 70 x 200, for sale.
F 12-23-1896 For sale: Corner four lots, 8 by 16 rods, fronting east on Kane st. south of Mrs. Meinhardt's residence. Contact C. D. Norton. Also in S 12/19/1896.
S 12-26-1896 William Karges, who was on Hawks farm in town of Lyons, leased one of Karcher farms south of Burlington.
S 12-26-1896 John Bence bought lot on Amanda st. from Mrs. Henry David and will build residence. Also in F 12/23/1896.
S 01-02-1897 Ben David and family to move to new residence following fire.
S 01-09-1897 John Smith and family moved to Burlington from Ashton, Iowa.
S 01-16-1897 A. Koch bought Philip Jung farm of 137 acres on Kenosha rd.; was former Siehoff farm.
S 01-16-1897 H. Graff of Milwaukee bought former Schultz farm of 80 acres from Philip Jung.
S 01-16-1897 Mrs. John Borst (nee Margaretta Treffinger) and two daughters moved to Milwaukee.
S 01-23-1897 Executors' sale of real estate of late Richard Nagle / Nagel: parcel 1 in sections 25 and 26; parcel 2 - 40 acres in section 25; parcel 3 - 36 acres in section 30; parcel 4 - lots 1, 4, and 5 in block 3 of Sheldon's addition and house and barn in lot 5; parcel 5 - in or near block 3, Perkins addition.
S 01-23-1897 William E. Rein bought lot 3, block 1, of Morris addition, from Freement / Fremont Utter. Lot adjoins Rein's residence property on north and extends to Pine st.
S 01-23-1897 Mrs. Amelia Cook farm of 135 acres, 1 mile west of Burlington, offered for rent for term of years.
S 02-06-1897 W. M. Emmons leased Rewald residence on corner of Chestnut & Origen sts. and moved family in.
