S 08-02-1865 Alexander Mullinder offers for sale his house and 3 lots near head of Pine st.
S 08-16-1865 George Ducket / Duckett bought farm from George Folsom.
S 08-16-1865 ? Braver bought farm from J. Phelps.
S 08-16-1865 William V. Moore bought J. B. Buell farm.
S 08-16-1865 E. C. Benson bought William L. Rooker farm.
S 08-16-1865 Amos Phelps advertises 184 acre farm on Geneva rd. on western line of Burlington for sale.
S 08-16-1865 J. B. Fairbanks advertises 40 acre farm 2-1/2 miles east of Burlington for sale.
S 08-23-1865 Tax sale notice for payment of Special Bounty Taxes for 1865: Village of Burlington - lot 5, blk. 59; lots 1-4, blk. 63; lots 7 and 8, blk. 42; lot 7, blk. 40; lot 7, blk. 60. Also 2 parcels in Perkins' Addition and many lots in "Folsom's Addition" (part of Peck's original plat). Also numerous parcels in town of Burlington.
S 08-30-1865 H. Thiele bought lot between Kiezer and Zilks from F. Merton.
S 08-30-1865 E. Boss sold 191 acre farm between Burlington and Rochester; buyer not named. S 12/29/1911 obituary of Francis Bankes said he bought Boss farm 2 miles northeast of Burlington in 1868 and farmed there for 24 years.
S 09-13-1865 Rev. Philo C. Pettibone sold residence to Capt. H. A. Sheldon.
S 09-20-1865 Deacon Wm. Johnson sold house and land to Anthony Meinhardt for $2,000.
1865 S 10/7/1893 - W. E. Chipman obit: Chipman came to area in 1846. Sold farm in 1852; went to California. Returned to Burlington in 1865 and bought 146 acre farm on Brown's Lake, a large part of which he still owned at time of death in 1893.
1866 Lucius O. Whitman and son, Chester M. Whitman, bought old school and property near Dodge & Madison sts. from William Johnson. Kept property until 1919. (Whitman School brochure)
S 01-03-1866 George Folsom sold lot in Folsom's Addition to E. C. Benson. Lot is between Rev. S. H. Barteau and Mrs. Everett's.
S 01-03-1866 R. D. Kesler's place sold to James Faitoute. (Could be northwest corner of Liberty & Dyer sts., now State & Kane sts.)
S 01-03-1866 Pliny M. Perkins sold 50 acres to William L. Rooker north of White River and west of Frederick S. Perkins land. (1887 map shows Rooker land on north side of mill pond, west of Steinhoff land.)
S 02-21-1866 J. Wackerman, Jr., sold house, lots, and brick yard to J. S. Yunker.
S 02-21-1866 A. Meinhardt sold house and lots known as Johnson place, to L. E. Smith for $1,600.
S 02-28-1866 Francis Wackerman sold house and lot on corner next to Dr. Darling's to H. E. Carpenter.
S 03-14-1866 E. C. Benson sold to George French a lot in Folsom's Addition.
S 03-14-1866 Mrs. L. Everett (Everist) sold to James Faitoute the residence on the corner near the Union School House. (Northwest corner of Liberty & Dyer sts., now W. State & N. Kane.)
S 03-14-1866 R. D. Kesler sold to E. C. Benson the residence next to H. Neuhaus.
S 04-11-1866 Patrick Warren bought farm of 100(?) acres 4-1/2 miles east of the village for $3,000. Seller's name is not clear, but looks like E. Stock.
