S 10-24-1908 Ollie Huse rented lower rooms in Rein flat on Pine st.
1908 Howard A. Wood publishes "Burlington - Its Early History, Growth and Progress. A Manufacturing Center" The 64-page book, which "boosts" Burlington, touts its "Healthful Climate, Low Taxes, An Economical Government, Good Schools and Churches." The book includes Wood's photos of the following Burlington homes: C. B. McCanna, 587 Pine st. S. M. Reinardy, 633 Washington st. William Finke, 418 McHenry st. Mrs. A. Meinhardt, 465 Kane st. F 02-19-1908 Casper Maag bought 10 acres just north of Burlington from Mrs. J. Neubauer. Also in S 3/7/08. S 2/22/08 - Maag and family moved to Burlington from Milwaukee. Mrs. Neubauer and family moved to Waterford.
S 02-22-1908 Herman Schulz bought Schumacher residence property on Origen st.
S 02-22-1908 J. Madison, of Silver Lake, bought Tulis residence property on McHenry st. from J. M. Christien.
S 02-22-1908 C. A. White, on Frank Miller farm 4 miles west of Burlington, to quit farming and have auction.
S 02-22-1908 J. M. Richtman bought Mrs. Anna Voelkering's property just west of Burlington, 16 acres, known as the Chris Kees place. Also in F 2/19/08 - Al. David to move from Mrs. Voelkering place to F. G. Klein farm in Lyons township.
S 02-22-1908 Fred Rossmiller and Frances Quinn, married Feb. 19, to live in Rossmiller home on McHenry st.
