F 12-28-1904 Theodore Karges and family moved to new home on Kane st. Also in S 12/31/04 - in Perkins Park.
F 12-28-1904 William Hoppe and family moved to new residence in Perkins North Park. Also in S 12/31/04.
F 12-28-1904 F. C. Eckert to occupy residence on Jefferson st. recently vacated by Oliver Fiske. Also in S 12/31/04. S 1/14/05 - Eckert moved to Cocroft residence on Kendall st.
F 01-11-1905 John Jahnke, who has been in charge of the Buell & Foltz farm west of the city for the past 10 or 12 years, has rented the same for a term of 5 years. Also in S 1/14/05. S 3/4/05 - Jahnke, who took possession March 1, also bought cattle and personal property from Buell & Foltz.
F 01-11-1905 Mrs. F. Keuper to build a new residence near the water tower next spring. F 3/1/05 - Mrs. F. Keuper let contract for new residence. S 3/4/05 - contract to E. L. Anderson.
S 01-14-1905 Mrs. David Pursley (nee Sophia Strohm) moved from Elkhorn to Burlington; occupying her new residence on N. Chestnut st.
S 01-14-1905 L. J. Smith bought lot on Kane st. from Burlington Land & Improvement Co.
F 01-18-1905 A. C. Schmitt bought Faitoute property on the corner of Liberty & Dyer sts. S 1/21/05 - 3 lots of 54 foot frontage each on Liberty (Dyer?) st. and 8 rods in depth.
F 01-18-1905 Ben Lenz residence near Bassetts Station totally destroyed by fire. S 1/21/05 - on Jan. 14.
S 01-21-1905 Henry Habbeckost bought lot in Perkins Park from L. J. Smith; to build residence this summer.
S 01-21-1905 An overheated chimney started a fire in the house on the George Norton farm, the old Crawford place, occupied by John VandeSand, on Saturday night last. The fire was probably caused by the second floor joists being too close to the chimney and becoming ignited by the heat from the chimney. It was put out after a piece of flooring had been torn out and the fire located. The loss is about $25 and is insured in the town company.
S 01-28-1905 Joseph Jacobs sold 200 acre farm in southern part of town of Burlington to Albert Ketterhagen; possession March 1.
S 01-28-1905 Val Ganz leased Adolf Karcher farm, occupied by Joe Tenhagen; possession March 1.
S 01-28-1905 Joseph Tenhagen bought and will move to Joseph Klein farm.
S 01-28-1905 Siehoff Bros. (Anton, George, and Ben) bought 192 acre Bankes farm from Herman Siehoff. Possession March 1 when Henry Siehoff will move to Sengbusch farm he bought last fall.
S 01-28-1905 Fire at A. Drayton residence on State st. put out by A. Bettzig and those in the house before the fire department arrived.
S 02-04-1905 Mrs. Christine Klene / Klane lived in the old Catholic parsonage on McHenry st.
S 02-04-1905 Farm residence of Henry Wehmhoff burned down Jan. 29. S 2/25/05 - Wehmhoff advertises for bids for building new house.
S 02-04-1905 Orley Taylor and wife moved to Hegeman residence on Geneva st.
S 02-04-1905 S. A. Wright and family moved to Maywood, Ill.
S 02-04-1905 Charles Lichtfeld / Lightfield and family to move to Burlington, having leased out farm in town of Rochester to William J. Strohm.
S 02-11-1905 Charles Lichtfeld / Lightfield bought from Conrad Roettinger the residence Roettinger built on the east side of the Fox river last year. Also in F 2/15/05.
S 02-11-1905 Frank Miller of Spring Prairie leased Charles Wilcox residence on Reynolds ave. from A. C. Schmitt and will move March 1. Also, Miller to have auction on farm. S 2/25/05 - Miller moved.
S 02-11-1905 J. S. Guidice / Giudice and family moved to Fredonia; Guidice has job in Schlesingerville bank.
S 02-11-1905 8 room house for sale. Inquire of C. F. Keuper.
