F 09-27-1917 E. A. Burmeister moved from Burlington to new residence on Mill st., Lyons.
F 10-04-1917 Old double house on Dyer st. razed. Property recently bought by Ed Bennett. The building was erected about 70 years ago and for a long time was located on Jefferson st. near the Fox River bridge; served as a hotel; later moved to Dyer st. and remodeled into a residence. S 10/19/17 - E. G. Bennett building a new house on Dyer st. (House relocation)
F 10-04-1917 Perry O. Peterson and family moved from Seth Fratt residence on Henry st. to Mrs. E. Angsten house on Geneva st.
F 10-04-1917 Mrs. C. Katzenberg rented residence on Herman st. to be vacated by Mr. & Mrs. William Konst, who will move to Lake Geneva. F 9/20/17 - Konst resigned from Reineman Hardware; to work at Lake Geneva hardware store.
F 10-04-1917 Mrs. John R. Schroeder moved from Burlington to Corliss to live with daughter, Mrs. James Simmons.
F 10-04-1917 Mrs. Mary Roth rented residence on Perkins blvd. occupied by Winn Peterson and will move there with sons, Ed and "Bobbie."
F 10-04-1917 John W. Cotter and family to move to residence vacated by Mrs. Mary Albrecht.
F 10-04-1917 Winn Peterson and family to occupy residence on Henry st. vacated by John W. Cotter and family.
F 10-04-1917 P. V. Clark moved from Whitewater to residence of Mrs. Orrin / Orville McLaughlin on McHenry st.
F 10-04-1917 Robert Wiesenthal bought William Longmore farm of 51 acres just west of Burlington and will conduct it in connection with the nearby farm he has been living on.
S 10-05-1917 C. G. Betzig moved from east side of Fox river to Security Lightning Rod Co. residence on Pine st.
S 10-05-1917 Dr. F. F. Newell bought O. B. Rittman residence property on Kane st. and will move in. Also in F 10/4/17 - property on corner of Kane & Duane sts. F 10/18/17 and S 10/19/17 - Newells moved to the O. B. Rittmann house. Rittmann moved to the residence on Jefferson st. vacated by Newells.
S 10-05-1917 P. Briody moved barn to property back of the water tower. F 10/4/17 - barn was from Mrs. Joe Miller property on Lewis st. (Barn relocation)
S 10-05-1917 Old Weiler farm just west of city bought by Robert Wiesenthal.
S 10-05-1917 Mrs. Eugene Caldwell and Miss Mary Perkins sold Perkins residence on Kendall st. to William H. Kruckman. F 10/4/17 - E. D. Perkins residence was built several years ago.
F 10-11-1917 Mr. & Mrs. Seth Fratt moved into their home on Henry st.
F 10-11-1917 William Frahm to move to property on McHenry st. he recently bought from Mrs. Theresa Pregger. F 11/1/17 - moved.
F 10-11-1917 C. A. Sloan, superintendent of postoffice construction, rented W. H. Kruckman residence on Liberty st.
F 10-11-1917 Fred Henningfield and family moved to part of Mrs. H. Konst's residence near high school building (corner of Amanda & Conkey sts.).
F 10-11-1917 August Rubach rented Fred Henningfield's place near Milwaukee depot / St. Paul depot.
S 10-12-1917 F. H. Epping building a new residence on Randolph st. Also in F 10/4/17 and S 11/9/17.
F 10-18-1917 E. G. Bennett building new home on Dyer st. Also in S 10/19/17 - The old residence on site was bought by Frank Epping, who razed it and moved lumber to his lot on Randolph st. The old house was one of early landmarks of Burlington. It was one of the first hotels in Burlington, being located on Jefferson st., near the bridge, until it was moved to the site on Dyer st. (House relocation)
F 10-18-1917 Andrew Fenn and family lived at 588 Wisconsin st.
F 10-18-1917 Fred Mittlestadt bought Peter Clausen farm of 80 acres.
S 10-18-1917 S. C. Pettigrew, gas maker for Citizen's Gas Co., moved family to Kenosha.

The Museum, History Research Library, and Pioneer Log Cabin are open Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm or by appointment. Please email to arrange an appointment.
