F 09-05-1918 Mr. & Mrs. Sherman Dudley moved to Burlington - will occupy the Pettibone house on Liberty st. S 9/6/18 - Dudley's moved to Folts (Pettibone) residence on Liberty st.
F 08-30-1917 H. R. Pruemers bought lot at Bohner's lake occupied by Camp Lonesome the past few years.
F 08-30-1917 Roy Middleton advertises house at 710 Chestnut st. for rent.
S 08-31-1917 Gus Heublein bought Mrs. John Nehls property on Lewis st. F 8/30/17 - Heublein bought Nehls estate at 720 Lewis st. at partition sale.
S 08-31-1917 Nagel residence moved to new foundation on Mutter ave. to make way for Wisconsin Condensed Milk Co. can shop; people continued to occupy the residence during the move. F 8/30/17 - Old Willhoft residence. (House relocation)
S 08-31-1917 Fred Paepke bought lot in Weiler's addition from Henry Heck.
S 08-31-1917 Allen Bird to move to Joseph Yanny's new house on Conkey st. the first of the month.
S 08-31-1917 M. S. Rosenberg and family of Milwaukee will occupy the Uhen residence, formerly occupied by the Maddens, after Oct. 1. Rosenberg has accepted a position as assistant manager of the Rosenberg store. F 8/30/17 - Milton S. Rosenberg; Uhen residence on Edward st.
S 09-07-1917 Mrs. John Dahl moved to August Reuschlein residence on corner of Geneva & Chestnut sts.
F 09-13-1917 William Longmore traded "old Weiler Property" toward Fred A. Southwick farm near Delavan. (2) Longmore to have auction on farm 1/4 mile west of Burlington on Geneva rd. F 9/20/17 - auction to be Sept. 25.
F 09-13-1917 August Jung, who sold farm west of Burlington to Cook Bros., bought 40 acres known as "Cotton Moody" farm between Springfield and Lake Geneva from Mrs. Charles Hammerstrohm.
F 09-13-1917 House for rent; apply at 268 McHenry st.
S 09-14-1917 H. W. Koch sold residence on James st. to Charles Meyers. F 9/13/17 - residence now occupied by Mrs. C. Katzenberg.
S 09-14-1917 J. B. Knudsen leased Albert Plate residence on Liberty st. F 9/6/17 - to move family from Chicago.
S 09-14-1917 Frank Albrecht bought from Mrs. William Solomon the residence on McHenry st. occupied by Gaylord Keyes and from F. Schemmer a strip of land at the rear facing Schemmer st. Albrecht will build 2 residences - one facing McHenry st. and one facing Schemmer st. Also in F 9/20/17. F 10/11/17 - Albrecht bought Disse property on McHenry st. S 10/19/17 - Frank Albrecht moved residence he recently purchased on Geneva st. to Schemmer st. and will make improvements. He will build a new residence on Geneva st. (House relocation)
F 09-20-1917 Mr. & Mrs. George C. Denniston lived at 595 West st.
F 09-20-1917 Herman Warneke and family resided at 746 Market st. (also in 1914 Directory).
F 09-20-1917 Herman Grabow bought old Pierce Murphy farm of 80 acres in town of Burlington.
F 09-20-1917 Rev. Killian A. Stimpson rented Mrs. Charles McCumber's residence at 640 Highland ave. F 10/4/17 - Mr. & Mrs. William E. Stimpson moved to Burlington to live with Rev. K. A. stimpson for winter.
S 09-21-1917 Emil Richter and family moved to James Heck residence in Weiler's addition.
S 09-21-1917 Frank Epping building new residence on Randolph st.
S 09-21-1917 Byron Randall bought Perkins blvd. residence, recently occupied by H. Wegward / Wegwart, from L. Smithers. Also in F 9/27/17 (2) - Randall will move from Honey Creek to Burlington. F 10/18/197 (2) - Randall and wife moved to residence bought from Lou Smithers.
F 09-27-1917 Mrs. F. M. Pratt to move to Mrs. A. A. Smith residence on Henry st.
F 09-27-1917 New silos built by John Lockmett on farms of Charles Beller, John Fallon, and Edward Bros.
F 09-27-1917 Gaylord Keyes rented A. Grosstueck residence in Weiler's Addition.

The Museum, History Research Library, and Pioneer Log Cabin are open Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm or by appointment. Please email to arrange an appointment.

Whitman School is open by appointment or for special events.
