S 07-07-1944 W. Dambruch, Rt. 1, Hall’s Point, advertises canoe for sale.
F 07-13-1944 Mr. & Mrs. Russell Engh moved from Schemmer st. to 581 Kendall st.
S 07-14-1944 A. Behnke, Rt. 4, advertises new cottage at Bohner’s Lake for sale.
F 07-20-1944 Former B. H. Rueter residence at 365 Perkins blvd. sold to Chicago party.
F 07-20-1944 Mr. & Mrs. Joe Lohaus bought from Newbury estate the property at 823 Geneva st. occupied by Claus H. Ficken, Jr. S 7/28/44 - bought what is known as Barney Wentker residence from Dr. Newbury estate.
F 07-20-1944 Gil Vos bought Francis N. May residence at 371 Edward st. S 7/28/44 (2) - to move next March.
F 07-20-1944 Francis N. May bought from Meinhardt estate (?) the former Sette property on Jefferson st. opposite the Post Office. Also in S 7/28/44 - from Meinhardt bank.
S 07-21-1944 5 room cottage at 307 State st. for sale. (Note: This is brick house on east side of Fox river built by Gerhard Vande Sand in 1882.)
S 07-21-1944 Mrs. Percy Stevens living in summer home at Brown’s Lake.
F 07-27-1944 Residence on corner of Second & North sts., recently occupied by George Klein, moved from Echo Park area to Jacob Kramer property on north shore of mill pond; to be remodeled and used as residence. (House relocation) S 7/21/44 - garage building to be moved to recently built foundation near tennis court and used as tool shed.
F 07-27-1944 Dr. L. O. Mastalir bought C. E. Buchan property at 635 Geneva st. for medical practice. S 7/28/44 - Residence adjoining city parking lot on Geneva st., which Dr. L. O. Mastalir bought from Meinhardt bank, being remodeled to provide office quarters on main floor. F 10/26/44 - Dr. Mastalir couldn't open when planned because oil service was not available.
S 07-28-1944 Mr. & Mrs. C. E. Buchan to move from residence next to city parking lot on Geneva st. to Verick residence on Chestnut st.
S 07-28-1944 Mr. & Mrs. Gary Krug to move from Verick residence on Chestnut st. to Ellington Heights, Ill.
S 07-28-1944 Mrs. John Schmitt moved from Burlington to Whitefish Bay.
F 08-03-1944 Dr. R. A. Mullen bought Edward Hinchliffe residence at 640 Highland ave. F 10/26/44 - Mullen to move in.
F 08-03-1944 W. C. Fraley, residing at 426 Edward st., bought property from L. J. Crawford.
F 08-03-1944 Fire at James DeGrave home at 919 Orchard st. did considerable damage. Also in S 8/4/44 - fire on July 29 at DeGrave home in Prasch addition.
F 08-10-1944 Perry Fell bought Rueter residence at 365 Perkins blvd.
F 08-17-1944 Garage of J. C. Rudkowski at 764 Chestnut st. struck by lightning and burned to ground. S 8/18/44 - Section of barn belonging to John Rudkowsky burned to ground Aug. 17.
S 08-18-1944 Mrs. W. F. Thomas, new partner in B & R Hat Shop on Pine st., to live in apartment in Goodwin home on Chestnut st., vacated by Mrs. Blanche Sennott.
S 08-18-1944 Real estate sale notice for late Gertrude Pieters: one-third interest in lot 3, block 20, original plat (east side of Pine st. near Short st. / now Milwaukee ave.).
F 08-24-1944 Mrs. G. P. Luetten lived at 565 State st. at time of death. (Origen Perkins house)
S 08-25-1944 Rollin Vos and Virginia Bauman, married Aug. 23, to live at 627-1/2 Washington st.
S 09-01-1944 Elliott Beuthling bought Joe Vratnik house on Chestnut st. occupied by Dorothy Sparks and will move there in near future.
