F 03-14-1946 A burning mattress in an upstairs bedroom caused a fire Saturday morning at the home of Aloysius Vande Sand, 611 West street. The blaze was discovered by Mr. VandeSand's father, who partially smothered it with a rug before the fire department reached the house.
