S 11-12-1948 H. Koenen bought 11 acre wood lot in section 29 in town of Burlington from Siehoff estate.
S 11-12-1948 Elmer Brandes to move to farm at Millard; Eugene Hegeman bought farm near Rochester being vacated by Brandes; (2) Brandes to have auction on Reick farm 2 miles north of Burlington on Honey Creek rd. S 12/10/48 - Elmer Brandes moved from Lake Freida farm to farm at Millard.
S 11-12-1948 Mr. & Mrs. Carl A. Backlin moved to farm on lower Spring Prairie rd. next to Stratton farm which they bought some time ago.
S 11-12-1948 Mr. & Mrs. Carl A. Backlin sold their Brown’s Lake residence to Dr. Samuel Lerner of Chicago.
S 11-12-1948 J. H. MacDougall family moved from Erickson cottage at Eagle Lake to Petrie’s cottage at Brown’s Lake.

S 11-26-1948 Rev. John P. Pierron estate offers 895 Orchard st. for sale.
F 12-02-1948 Walter Linnekugel home on farm on Hwy. 11 at Lightfield's hill destroyed by fire Nov. 29. Also in S 12/3/48.
