S 08-21-1897 A. Kobaleski building new residence on east side of Fox river.
S 08-28-1897 Frank VandeSand has the contract for building A. Kobaleski's new residence on the east side of Fox river. (1897 Directory - August Kableske at 203 E. State st.; Frank's house was at 200 E. State, northeast corner of State & Main; Mrs. G. VandeSand's house at 311 E. State)
S 08-28-1897 George E. Rosenhauer raising sides and roof and remodeling interior of his brick house on Chestnut st.
S 08-28-1897 Dr. Biewald / Bennewies leased Hegeman residence on Geneva st. formerly occupied by Dr. Axtell.
S 09-11-1897 Nicholas Fink sold house and lot near St. Paul depot to Frank Scheuerman / Schuerman. Fink and wife will live with son, Ernst.
S 09-11-1897 Eugene Wehmhoff bought William Soetebier's 40 acre farm.
S 09-11-1897 M. P. Petrie and family moved from cottage at Brown's lake to residence in Burlington.
S 09-11-1897 DeWitt Stanton sold 75 acre farm in Randall to Mr. Holzheimer, and will move to Burlington.
S 09-11-1897 J. J. Badenoch to have cellar built under cottage at Brown's Lake and will make it suitable for year-round use.
S 09-18-1897 A. J. Klingele and wife moved to new residence on corner of Washington & Johnson sts.
S 09-18-1897 John Haitz and wife take up residence with Mrs. Klingele. (Mr. & Mrs. Haitz had lived in frame house next to John Hegeman brick house on Geneva, Washington, and Johnson st. triangle.)
S 09-18-1897 Frank Zick and wife moved to Hegeman residence vacated by John Haitz and wife.
S 09-25-1897 John Yahnke / Jahnke sold 2 lots on the east side of Fox river to Charles Schultz. S 10/2/1897 - Schultz building new residence.
S 09-25-1897 Dr. W. B. Thewalt leased Hegeman residence on the corner of Geneva & Johnson sts. and will practice his profession there. S 1/1/1898 - Dr. Thewalt to leave Burlington.
S 10-02-1897 H. S. Harris leased residence on Jefferson st. recently vacated by L. L. Owen and family.
S 10-02-1897 Charles Mather moved his house from State st. opposite the old school house to lot he bought in Perkins South Park. (House relocation)
S 10-02-1897 William Thesdorf building new house on east side of Fox river.
S 10-02-1897 John Grenzel, Jr., bought M. McLaughlin farm of 120 acres near Slade's Corners.
S 10-02-1897 Peter Smith building new residence on Conkey st. S 10/23/1897 - residence being built by Joseph P. Rueter. Rueter had two kegs of nails stolen.
S 10-02-1897 Joseph Harrington residence at 106 Madison st. (Whitman house), opposite St. John's Lutheran parsonage.
S 10-02-1897 B. J. Wentker advertises new 8 room house on Randolph st. for sale or rent.
S 10-09-1897 Christian Strohm and wife rented Bulgreen / Bulgrin house on east side of Fox river, and moved there from farm.
S 10-09-1897 Fred Kords leaves Burlington; to live in Chicago with sister, Mrs. Biersbach. (1897 Directory showed Kords at 314 Milwaukee st.)
S 10-09-1897 Herman Siehoff advertises 192 acre farm 2 miles northeast of Burlington and 600 acre farm on Blooming Prairie, Walworth County, for rent.
S 10-16-1897 Walter Duckett bought 121 acre Toomer farm south of Burlington.
