S 03-29-1918 Henry A. Rueter sold bungalow on Kendall st. to William J. Hoeffner. Also in F 3/28/18 - Hofner. S 4/19/18 - Hoefners moved in. S 4/26/18 - Henry Hoeffner.
S 03-29-1918 John M. Uhen enlarging and repairing residence on Jefferson st.; he will make a double flat of the building. Also in F 3/28/18. S 4/19/18 - Dr. W. E. White leased lower flat; Uhen to live upstairs. (This was Uhen house on northeast corner of Jefferson st. & Perkins blvd.)
S 03-29-1918 Henry Tenhagen sold residence on Kendall st. to Nic Brick. Also in F 3/28/18. S 4/12/18 and F 4/18/18 - Brick sold same to William Stanfield. S 5/10/18 - Stanfield moved in.
S 03-29-1918 Mr. & Mrs. Albert Schluessel and sons, Clyde and Kenneth, also Mrs. Ernest Haas and daughter Elva, moved from Burlington to Whitewater where Schluessel bought home.
S 03-29-1918 Max Just rented Mrs. James Mealy residence on Pine st. and will move there when Mrs. A. Langley and family move to Fred Uhen residence on Edward st. F 4/4/18 - Max Just moved to James Mealy residence on Pine st. vacated by Mrs. A. Langley and family.
S 03-29-1918 Fred Uhen, Sr., and family moved from Burlington to their farm home at Brown’s Lake; Uhen home on Edward st. to be occupied by Mrs. A. Langley and family.
S 03-29-1918 Gus Heublein offers former John Nehls property on Lewis st. for sale.
F 04-04-1918 Joe Lambert and family moved from Wheatland to Burlington.
F 04-04-1918 Thomas Hahn and family moved back to Burlington from Salem.
F 04-04-1918 M. Fleuker and A. Zoephel moved families from East Troy to Burlington.
F 04-04-1918 Winn Peterson rented residence on Henry st. vacated by Max Just and family.
F 04-04-1918 W. M. Moore and family rented and will move to Security Lightning Rod Co. residence on Pine st.
F 04-04-1918 George Hembrooke and family to move to Burlington from Seattle.
S 04-05-1918 Dr. J. W. Powers bought old Adam Kleinkopf residence property on Jefferson st. from J. W. Summers. Bought as an investment but may in time tear down old house and build a new one. Also in F 4/4/18.
S 04-05-1918 Albert M. Brehm house at 541 Pine st. offered for sale - photo. Also in F 4/11/18 - no photo.
S 04-05-1918 John Reed and family moved to building adjoining his garage on Washington st. Also in F 4/11/18.
S 04-12-1918 Mr. & Mrs. Art Kortendick moved to the Hegeman residence on east side of Fox river.
S 04-12-1918 M. Fleuker and family rented the Leopold residence on Jefferson st. F 4/18/18 - to move from East Troy.
S 04-12-1918 Dewey Hicks bought Miss Edith Storms house on Conkey st. occupied by Mrs. Ellen Hartnell. Also in F 4/4/18 - Hicks will occupy when Mrs. Hartnell vacates. S 5/10/18 and F 5/16/18 - Hicks and family moved in.
S 04-12-1918 John Cunningham and family moved to residence on corner of Lewis & Conkey sts.
F 04-18-1918 Mr. & Mrs. L. L. Owen and daughter, Pearl, to move to Kenosha after 25 years in Burlington. F 5/2/18 - moved.
F 04-18-1918 P. O. Peterson rented Rosenhauer residence on Henry st. vacated by Max Just and wife.
F 04-18-1918 Mr. & Mrs. J. W. Cotter to move from Burlington to Des Moines, Iowa.
S 04-19-1918 Harry K. Harlow bought P. J. Hurtgen residence on west Geneva st. F 4/18/18 - possession May 1; Harlow paid in part with his lot in Hurtgen's addition. S 5/10/18 and F 5/16/18 - Harlow moved in.
F 04-25-1918 John B. Yanny and Mary K. Lois, married April 24, to live on Amend farm owned by groom 2 miles west of Burlington.

The Museum, History Research Library, and Pioneer Log Cabin are open Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm or by appointment. Please email to arrange an appointment.

Whitman School is open by appointment or for special events.
