Golden jubilee of Rose's Bakery; John G. Rose started first commercial bakery in Burlington in a frame building on Pine st. where Rosenberg's store now stands. In 1895, Rose built the brick building at 568 Chestnut st. where the present bakery is located. Also in S 6/17/38.
